Hydration + Hot Yoga = Your Summer Glow-Up!

Hi friends! It’s your resident Water Guzzler, Allison, with a summer PSA: it’s heating up - inside and outside The Works. You’ve probably seen me lugging around that giant water jug, and yes, it’s my secret to feeling good all day. In hot yoga, we’re sweating a lot - hydration isn’t just helpful, it’s essential!

So here’s your playful-but-practical guide to staying hydrated before, during and after class:

Pre-Game Your Water

Don’t roll out your mat on empty! Start sipping early, not just five minutes before class - hydration works best when you build it up.

Pro Tip: Drink 16-20 oz of water 1-2 hours before class. Coffee doesn’t count (sorry…we love it too).

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle)

That cute reusable Works bottle? Use it!

Small sips during class are great, especially between flows. Just don’t chug - you might end up feeling like you’ve got an ocean in your belly during core!

Add Electrolytes

You lose more than water when you sweat - replenish with electrolytes!

Try LMNT (available at the front desk), Nuun, or Liquid IV Sugar Free. Beth and I swear by LMNT - we’re basically their unofficial spokespeople.

Listen to Your Body

If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or super drained in class, PAUSE. Rest in Child’s Pose, take a sip, or step out for a quick breather. No shame. You’re human. And we love you for it

Bottom Line?

Hydration + Hot Yoga = Your Summer Glow-Up

Show up. Sweat it out. SIP OFF.

See you (and your glowy, hydrated self) on the mat!
